DokaXdek family revolutionizes slab construction
Doka, the international formwork and scaffolding expert, is unveiling a new slab-formwork system family at bauma 2022. The revolutionary system, DokaXdek, consists of three complementary elements – the DokaXdek table, DokaXdek panel, and DokaXdek I-frame. This highly versatile system has been designed to address current and future issues such as safety, ergonomics and economy on construction sites worldwide. Uniquely the system has been developed in parallel to seamlessly combine for maximum versatility, streamlined work processes and increased cost-effectiveness. It also impresses as a stand-alone system.
Doka sets an important milestone by calculating the carbon footprint of 6,000 products
International formwork and scaffolding expert Doka pledged that it will be climate-neutral by 2040 as it addresses one of the most pressing issues in the global construction industry. By focusing on decarbonization and the circular economy, the company has already made an important first step towards achieving this goal. In summer 2022, Doka introduced Product Carbon Footprint – KPIs, making it the first formwork supplier in the industry to provide transparent emissions data for 6,000 products. The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) has been generated to help customers make more environmentally responsible purchasing decisions.

Seven Doka employees completed the Climate Ranger Academy to develop their knowledge on climate protection and mainstream this knowledge within Doka's business environment. This is because transformation will only be successful if sustainability is reflected in the strategy, the business’s own core processes and in its everyday processes.
Doka Sweden’s vehicles are going green
Doka Sweden’s trucks are producing 80–90% fewer greenhouse gases by using a different sort of green fuel. HVO100 fuel is leading the way in the sustainability stakes, as it is primarily made of waste fats such as cooling oils or animal fat.
A clever move!
Doka’s transport logistics in Amstetten are attracting attention with their strong, sustainable focus on expanding intermodal traffic. Consignments are transported in combination with railways. More and more Doka countries are joining.
A green light for green energy
Over 10,000 sq.m. of solar panels will have been installed on the roofs of buildings in Amstetten, St. Georgen and St. Martin by the end of 2023. Thus around 9% of electricity required each year at the Amstetten site can be covered with solar power.
Sustainability wins prizes
What is the idea behind the Umdasch Group’s Sustainability Prize? It is to promote projects that work towards a sustainability strategy and these projects are within the company itself. What started in 2020 is now an annual event. Employees are very enthusiastic and motivated.

NEULANDT’s portable precast plant N3P is on its first mission to Abidjan on the Ivory Coast. N3P allows for the industrial production of precast elements directly on the construction site. Spitallamm dam: Doka makes a lasting impact on Swiss energy future
Doka, the international formwork and scaffolding expert, is demonstrating its expertise in dam construction as the principal supplier to the new Spitallamm dam project at Lake Grimsel in the Swiss Alps. The project necessitates oversight of exceptional construction work and the creation of customized components under challenging conditions. The new double curvature dam will require pouring more than 220,000 cubic meters of concrete, supported by Doka formwork. On completion in 2025, Doka’s customized solutions will have contributed to renewable energy sources supplying more than one million people with sustainable energy.

With their new order, the Store Makers from umdasch can once again prove their expertise: In addition to the delivery, installation and implementation in operation of the Digital Signage system by umdasch Digital Retail, umdasch Food Retail will implement the redesign and digital equipment of numerous tobacco shelves. The client is the multi-energy company TotalEnergies. By the end of 2023, up to 200 petrol stations will be equipped with Digital Signage solutions and 840 locations with the digital tobacco shelves by the shopfitting experts.
