Welcome to the Umdasch Group – your future partner along the entire life cycle of a building object.
The home for
In the future, we want to be the best partner for our customers along the entire life cycle of their building object: from development, planning, construction, fit-out and ongoing operation, refurbishment through to dismantling and recycling. That is our vision.
The key to this: new, primarily digital technologies for greater efficiency and productivity.
The driver: sustainability. The use of new technologies makes it possible to minimise or avoid harmful greenhouse gases that are produced during the life cycle of a building.
The holistic approach to a building makes it possible to equip each of its life phases with ecologically and economically meaningful solutions. What’s more, it seamlessly connects these life phases in transparent, digital processes. In future, we as the Umdasch Group want to support our customers in implementing and operating their buildings in an efficient and resource-saving manner. We are already successfully active in the construction, equipping and operation of industrial plants.

One thing stands out in the Umdasch family’s entrepreneurial history, which now spans five generations: The power of innovation seems to be ingrained in their DNA. The theme of innovation runs like a red thread through our history. Against the background of global competitiveness and with the claim to be the pacemaker of an entire industry, this striving takes on a new dimension. Innovation is no coincidence, but the result of a smart strategy, a structured approach and hard work.
Global value pools are at the very beginning of the innovation process and take place with the participation of interdisciplinary teams. They aim to evaluate and validate potential new business areas along the building life cycle.
If the result of this first innovation step is positive, it is followed by further development and elaboration in our innovation hub Umdasch Group Ventures. Key decision criteria in this phase are a scalable customer benefit and feasible commercialization in the form of a business model.

Our planet is suffering. For too long, mankind has enriched its atmosphere with harmful CO2, plundered its raw materials unabashedly and wasted natural resources. Changing this, preferably yesterday rather than today, is without doubt the great task of the global community – the communities of states, the economy, but also each and every individual in society.
The Umdasch Group has therefore set itself a major goal: Net Zero by 2040: Net Zero by 2040. This means emitting no more harmful greenhouse gases from that date – an ambitious sustainability target for a company that belongs to an industry that is considered one of the biggest contributors to this: the construction industry.
Find out here what efforts Doka is making to support the Umdasch Group’s Net Zero target and to make its customers’ construction sites climate-neutral.

The implementation of an ambitious growth strategy under the aspects of new technologies and ecological business models, against the backdrop of fundamental political, social and economic shifts: This means a daily balancing act and feat of strength that people can only achieve with a high level of commitment, hard work and the unconditional will to be among the best.
We have enshrined this aspiration in our values: Partnering, Pioneering and High-Performing. People who share this view find space – opportunities and resources – in the Umdasch Group to develop and realize their ideas in the spirit of a performance-oriented corporate culture. This is what we understand by “The home for better spaces”.

With the new strategy, we have launched our we-journey – a joint journey with the aim of working better together across divisions and continents: open and free of prejudice, while at the same time respectful and with a factual focus.
With our Guiding Principles, we have laid the foundations for our global cooperation. Building on this, we are establishing a global program that consistently focuses on customer benefits through the efficient management of people, tasks and processes , progressively promotes continuous improvement and avoids waste.
We see the world as a broad field of development. It is growing and the associated challenges are creating opportunities and possibilities everywhere . Housing must be created worldwide, infrastructure developed and energy provided. Only in this way can the global community create decent living conditions for a growing world population.
While we already occupy a solid market-leading position in Europe, a well-penetrated and often saturated market that needs to be strengthened, we still have some catching up to do in the world’s major economic growth regions, North America and Asia. The potential for growth there is much higher – a potential that needs to be leveraged.
Our growth strategy is to be positioned almost equally strongly in all major regions of the world – Europe, North America and Asia.
