On behalf of the Turkish duty-free operator Setur, the experienced travel-retail experts from umdasch were also responsible for shopfitting and general contracting. Regionality, openness and sustainability are the core themes of the concept. It includes a completely new shopping experience – customer-oriented, modern and with a high quality of stay.

On May 31, 2023, the renowned POPAI D-A-CH Awards 2023 were presented in Cologne. umdasch The Store Makers, the experts for shopfitting and digital solutions at the POS, was able to claim four awards. The two submitted projects – the dealer app at TotalEnergies and the O2 Live Concept Store in Berlin – convinced both the audience and the jury and together received two gold, one silver and one bronze.

Swiss rockfall gallery Mingèr completed five weeks ahead of schedule with Doka’s Concremote
The Mingèr gallery was recently inaugurated to protect the main road in the Engadine high valley in Switzerland from falling rocks and avalanches. The structure required an unobstructed clearance profile and an accelerated construction schedule in order to complete the gallery before winter. The contractor, Bezzola Denoth AG, relied on solutions from Doka to help it achieve this goal.

The umdasch stand attracted over 20,000 visitors over the five days of the fair, setting a new record for visitor numbers. umdasch even received the Exhibitor Award for its innovative stand design.

Pharmacy Liebenau in Graz High-quality pharmacy construction by umdasch
Since its opening at the beginning of February 2023, the Liebenau pharmacy in the Murpark shopping centre in Graz has been presenting itself with a contemporary design concept that optimally showcases the wide range of products. umdasch The Store Makers accompanied the project as a holistic partner from the very beginning.Gone are the days when pharmacies had an impersonal and monotonous appearance. Quite the opposite: the boundaries to retail are visibly blurring and pharmacies are increasingly convincing with an appealing design, including the Liebenau pharmacy in the Murpark shopping centre. Not only medicines and pharmaceuticals can be found in the pharmacy's range, the assortment has been gradually expanded to include cosmetics, drugstore products as well as veterinary and alternative medicine. This extensive range also requires a corresponding shop appearance that meets the requirements of the changed assortment. Together with the Store Makers, the owners embarked on the path to a modernised concept at a new location.
Formwork stripping time halved for Grand Paris Express
Doka, a global leader in formwork and scaffolding, speeded up the concrete work of the Grand Paris Express tunnel construction for Line 15 South, one of four new rapid transit lines, with the application of its time-saving, cost-reducing, safety-enhancing digital service Concremote. Along its 33 km length, Line 15 South will pass through 22 municipalities and affect more than one million citizens when it comes into service in 2025.
Doka acquires 100% stake of scaffolding company AT-PAC
Doka, one of the world's leading suppliers of formwork with headquarters in Amstetten, Austria, completed the 100% acquisition of scaffolding manufacturer AT-PAC. Both companies initially partnered in 2020 to provide comprehensive global site solutions. The acquisition positions Doka as a single source for formwork and scaffolding for the global construction industry and strengthens the company’s new global business segment, "Industrial Scaffolding". For AT-PAC this means full access to a global market.

Until March 5, 2023, innovative solutions that make a significant contribution to sustainability in the building lifecycle can be submitted for the Josef Umdasch Research Prize 2023.
