Since 1991, the Umdasch Group has awarded the popular Josef Umdasch Research Prize. Umdasch Shopfitting joined the fourth time this year. Members of the international start-up scene assembled on Thursday evening in the World Museum in Vienna in order to celebrate this year’s winners of the Josef Umdasch Research Prize. Dr. Andreas Ludwig, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Umdasch and entrepreneur Ali Mahlodji guided the audience through the award show.
Romania’s new national cathedral
Bucharest – In the heart of Romania's capital, a new Orthodox cathedral of impressive dimensions is now under construction. Measuring 124 metres long, 70 metres wide and 120 metres high (at the base of the cross), the place of worship will accommodate up to 5,000 people, making it one of the biggest Christian Orthodox churches in the world. Bosch opened its first monolabel store in Europe
The first Bosch mono-label-store in Europe has recently opened in Mariahilfer Strasse in Vienna, Austria. From the concept and design via the planning and implementation as general contractor and shopfitter to the latest Digital Retail solutions, the Store Makers at Umdasch created a remarkable presentation across an area of 400 square metres. With the concept by Umdasch, the Store Makers established the brand identity of Bosch in this first store and created space for the innovative products and competent advice from the German manufacturer of domestic appliances. With immediate effect, the visitors to Bosch can not only view the products but also experience them live in Vienna.

Ptolemaida - On site at one of the biggest projects in Greece in recent years, construction of the lignite-fired power plant Ptolemais Block V needs cooling-tower formwork expertise from Doka, plus compliance with a very special structural requirement. This is the first time that Doka has used an earthquake-proof design to form the first rings of a cooling tower.

Formwork fine-tuning by Doka for construction of the new KTM museum
High speed on two wheels. That's what has made Upper Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM world-famous. But right now at company HQ in Mattighofen, the howl of high-revving motorbike engines is overlaid by the low growl of construction machinery.
