Amstetten, Austria | 8th April 2024 – Doka, a global leader in formwork and scaffolding, is launching a major roll-out of its revolutionary slab-formwork DokaXdek by making the innovative product available across Europe. In the course of the year 2024, the highly versatile system will be available to industry professionals working in numerous countries through their local Doka representative. This is the next big step since it was launched at bauma 2022 and introduced to customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Norway.

VIENNA TWENTYTWO – one of Vienna’s largest urban development projects – is being built in the 22nd district of Vienna’s Donaustadt. Two diagonally positioned tower blocks and four low-rise buildings form a varied ensemble, not least thanks to tried and-tested formwork and scaffolding solutions from Doka.

Maisach, Germany, March 12, 2024. At almost 4 km in length, the “Hochstraße Elbmarsch”– K20 for short – on the BAB 7 motorway in Hamburg is the longest road bridge in Germany. It has been undergoing renovation and expansion since 2020. The space available on the construction site is so limited that the contractor STRABAG and Doka had to come up with a special formwork concept. Their bridge experts therefore developed something completely new: they converted the ParaTop cantilever formwork into a moveable formwork traveller that could also be folded in and out in all four directions.

Vienna, 14 November 2023 – The Austrian research study RCC2 (reduced carbon concrete) investigated the potential of innovative concrete mix designs to decarbonise concrete. The broad-based consortium tested ways of establishing CO₂-reduced and even climate-neutral concrete as the new state of the art.

Gothenburg’s first skyscraper, the tallest building in the Nordic countries, is currently under construction in Sweden.
